'Ladder golf plans' are, in our humble opinion, not needed. Ladder golf is one of those games where, with the right equipment, can be played impromptu. Ladder golf (also called hillbilly horseshoes, hillbilly golf, redneck golf and other names) is a lawn game played by throwing a bolo of two golf balls connected with a rope at a ladder. Different rungs of the ladder are worth different amounts of points, with the goal of the game being to get exactly (and not over) 21 points.
Points per rung can vary, but all three rungs will uniquely be assigned a value of 1, 2, or 3 points. In one variety the top is worth 3, middle is 2, and bottom is 1.
Teams play to exactly 21. In some rules, if a player scores over 21, they either revert to their previous total, or go down that number of points. Depending on house rules, if both teams score on the same rung, those points do not count, or if balls are looped around other balls, those do not count. Other rule sets allow points in both instances.
The rungs may be PVC pipe, wood, or other materials.
The game is often played while tailgating at sporting events. For reasons like this, there is little planning needed and so 'ladder golf plans' are a waste of time. Just our opinion.
